Ice Cream Social & PTA Meeting

All Henry Ford families are welcome and encouraged to attend! 

PTA meetings take place in the staff room. Read the agenda here. Read the minutes from our previous meeting here. The PTA meets monthly and is a great way to get involved with the various programs and activities offered on campus.

Back to School Night

Meet your teacher, check out your child's classroom, and hang out with old and new friends!

Extra Minimum Day - Friday 9/13

Dismissal times: 

TK at 12:45pm.  

Kinder at 1pm.  

1st-5th at 1:30pm

ELAC Meeting

The English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) is an advisory committee developed to advise the school about programs for English learners students. A school that has more than 21 EL students is required to have an ELAC.  See here for more information on ELAC, on the RCSD website.

Staff Appreciation Breakfast

Show your appreciation for our Henry Ford staff and teachers, by bringing them delicious breakfast items to start off their day!  Drop off your items on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.

Healthy School Meals

If you'd like to stay up to date on all things related to school meals, become involved with the Healthy School Meals Coalition, and sign up for their email list.

Get Involved!

Participation at our school is strongly encouraged but 100% voluntary. We welcome everyone to pitch in however they're able.  We have in-class opportunities, such as Art-in-Action and Project Cornerstone, where you can help in your child's classroom.   And we always need volunteers for specific events throughout the year, such as our Fall Fiesta, Family Dance, and Pasta Dinner!

Direct Donation Drive

Our Direct Donation Drive starts NOW!

The PTA funds many programs that our children benefit from every day, and we need your support.  Programs such as PE, music, art, field trips, and so much more are funded through the PTA.  

Any donation amount is appreciated to meet our funding goals for the school year -- no donation amount is too small! All donations are tax deductible.  

 

Ways to donate:

ONLINE via Credit Card:   Click HERE

IN-PERSON:   Make checks out to Henry Ford PTA. Cash and Check donations can be delivered to the school office addressed to "PTA Direct Donations".

CORPORATE GIFT MATCHING: Don't forget corporate gift matching!  Please email officers@henryfordpta.org if you plan to submit your donation for matching.  If you don't know if your company matches, just ask! 

Art in Action

For those that don't know, all students at Henry Ford are afforded the opportunity to participate in art lessons above and beyond what their teachers provide. These lessons are taught by amazing parents like you! All you need is a few hours once a month and enthusiasm. All the rest is provided including the lessons and masterpiece information.  Please email aia@henryfordpta.org if you are interested in helping out in your child's class.  Many of the classes have helpers already but the more the merrier. And for those whose children are in the following classes please consider volunteering as these currently don't have any volunteers.

Conferences & Super Minimum Days 10/1-4

Mark your calendars... Oct 1-4 will be SUPER minimum days, for mandatory Goal Setting Conferences with your teacher.

Dismissal:  TK 11am.  Kinder 11:15am.  1st-3rd 11:30am.  4th-5th 11:45am.

STEAM Night 10/2

October 2nd from 5:30-7pm is our first Community STEAM Night!  Have fun exploring hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math activities with family and friends! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS A FUN EVENT!  Volunteer form here
