Give thanks to your teachers -- Teacher Appreciation is this week!  The Staff Appreciation Team has put together a week full of goodies and gifts for the entire Henry Ford staff.

Our biggest community event, affectionately called "Pasta Dinner", includes carnival games, spaghetti dinner, Wine Wall, basket raffle, and online auction.  The Stanford Band will also perform for our students!   This fun event will take place on May 16, 2025.

* Volunteer at the event -- this event is entirely volunteer- run, and we always need help for set up, clean up, and running carnival games.  Sign up HERE

* Prizes -- If you have extra party favors or small toys cluttering up your home, consider donating to reuse as prizes.  Things like unused tattoes and stickers, mini notebooks, pencils with designs, erasers, slap bracelets, fidget spinners, pop-its... you get the idea.  Leave all items in the box in the Front Office.  Thank you!!

* The Wine Wall is back by popular demand! Tickets are $25 each, and each ticket wins a bottle of wine of at least that value. Raffle party takes place on May 31st but you do not need to be present to win. Last year, 41 tickets were sold for a total profit of $1025 for our school.

Our Dine Outs continue to be an important part of our fundraising... plus we support local restaurants AND get a night off from cooking!

Open House is a great opportunity to appreciate everything your child has learned, and everything your child's teachers have done, in school this year.  Projects, videos, writing samples... this is a great chance to see what your student is learning, and also check out what other classes are doing!  

During Open House, there will be an Art Show in the MUB, showcasing art from every grade.  And a Project Cornerstone mural, reflecting important lessons we have learned throughout the year.  Don't forget, these programs (Art in Action and Project Cornerstone) are run by volunteer parents! 

Parents will also be hosting a MultiCultural Potluck, which will be available after classroom walk-throughs.

And finally, starting at 5pm, there will be an opportunity to shop at the Maker's Market in front of the school.  Students in our Young Entrepreneur's Club have been hard at work, creating products for their very own small businesses.  50% of their profits will go to purchase a community gift for the school.  Come shop and support these young entrepreneurs!  Cash only, please.

Our school garden, which is visited by all TK-5th grade classrooms once a week , needs community support to continue the wonderful educational and life experiences the students receive when they participate in caring for all aspects of the school garden

Garden equipment to continue support students participating in the garden: gardening gloves, watering cans, trowels, bags of soil, seeds, seed starters, garden hoses, etc.

Henry Ford PTA supports a portion of the garden needs but requires outside community support to help the program continue to flourish. We just lost funding for a designated garden teacher which allowed each classroom from TK-5th grade to have weekly visits and participate in lesson plans centered on planting, harvesting and caring for the garden.

The PTA funds many programs that our children benefit from every day, and we need your support. Programs such as PE, music, art, field trips, and so much more are funded through the PTA.  

Any donation amount is appreciated to meet our funding goals for the school year -- no donation amount is too small! All donations are tax deductible.
