Ice Cream Social
Join us in September for our annual Ice Cream Social—a sweet way to kick off the school year! It's the perfect opportunity to meet new families, connect with friends, and learn more about how the PTA supports our school. Stick around afterward for our first PTA meeting of the year—we’d love to see you there!
Fall Fiesta Fundraiser
Fall Fiesta is our vibrant, family-friendly celebration held each October and packed with fun for all ages! This festive event features exciting games and activities, giant bouncy houses, a variety of local food trucks, and a popular bake sale filled with homemade treats. It’s a wonderful way for the school community to come together, enjoy the autumn season, and support our school while making lasting memories.

Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is a beloved event that brings the joy of reading to our entire school community! Held annually, the book fair gives students the exciting opportunity to browse a wide selection of books and purchase new favorites to build their home libraries. Parents are also encouraged to shop and can choose to donate books directly to their child’s classroom from teacher wish lists. The fun continues with a special Read-Along Night, where teachers host cozy, themed reading sessions for students and families. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate literacy and support our school at the same time!

Hometown Holiday Parade
Each December, Redwood City kicks off the holiday season with a festive parade through the heart of downtown—an event filled with lights, music, and community spirit. Henry Ford Elementary proudly participates every year, showing off our Mustang pride with a decorated float, spirited marchers, and plenty of holiday cheer. This special tradition is coordinated by our dedicated Dads' Club and is a favorite opportunity for students, families, and staff to represent our school and spread joy throughout the community.

Family Dance
Grab your dancing shoes and bring the whole family to our Annual Family Dance each February—a night full of music, laughter, and memories! This beloved event invites students, parents, and siblings to hit the dance floor together and enjoy an evening of fun. With a live DJ, themed decorations, photo opportunities, snacks, and special surprises, the Family Dance is a highlight of the school year and a perfect way to celebrate our awesome school community.

Pasta Dinner & Fundraiser
Pasta Dinner is our biggest fundraising event of the year and takes place in May. At the event, we have games, a Book Walk, and of course... a pasta dinner! In addition, there is an on-line auction; previous auction items have included a Tahoe vacation, bike repair package, tickets to Giants and 49er games, and so much more! Each class also organizes a Class Basket which gets raffled off -- so many opportunities to win amazing prizes! And finally for the adults, we have hosted a Wine Wall, where each ticket guarantees you a bottle of wine! As always, this event relies on volunteers, and every penny goes back to our school!

Annual Color Run
Our Annual Color Run is a high-energy, joy-filled event where students run short laps around the school field while getting blasted with bursts of bright, fun colors! It’s a celebration of health, school spirit, and community, with music, cheering, and plenty of laughter along the way.

Annual Campout and Movie Night
A new Henry Ford tradition! Families pitch tents on the school field and enjoy a fun-filled evening with dinner, games, a movie, and stargazing. It’s a great way to connect, make memories, and kick back with the school community. Don’t forget your sleeping bags! Hosted by the Dads' club, held on a Friday nigh in May or early June.

Dine Outs
Once a month, a local restaurant donates a percentage of the proceeds back to our PTA.
Participating restaurants include Redwood City BBQ, Crouching Tiger, Canyon Inn, Sancho's, Villa Lucia, Mountain Mike's Pizza, Zareen's, Chipotle and others! All of course do take-out too. Do you have a favorite restaurant you'd like us to contact? Email us at volunteer@henryfordpta.org.
Round Up at Redwood City BBQ
In addition to our monthly Dine Outs, Redwood City BBQ has offered to help us with our continued fundraising effort with their Round Up program. When orders are placed online, guests will be asked whether they want to round up to the next dollar, and that money will be donated to the Henry Ford PTA!
